The short answer

Send a WhatsApp reminder before each appointment that the customer can answer in one reply, to confirm or to reschedule, and act on the reply straight away so the freed slot can be rebooked. Use an approved utility template and send it only to customers who agreed to booking updates.

  • Remind before the appointment, with date, time and place.
  • Offer one-tap confirm and reschedule.
  • Rebook freed slots quickly.
  • Use a utility template, and keep offers out of it.

A reminder that works

  1. Get permission at booking to send booking updates on WhatsApp.
  2. Send a reminder before the visit with the date, time, place and who they're seeing.
  3. Let them reply in one tap: quick-reply buttons like "Confirm" and "Reschedule".
  4. Act on the reply at once. A reschedule request at 9 PM should be handled at 9 PM, so the slot can go to someone else.

Keep it a utility message

A reminder about the customer's own booking is a utility template. Adding an offer to it can make Meta treat it as marketing, which costs more.

Templates to start with

Copy a ready-made appointment reminder template and submit it to Meta.

With WAnee

WAnee sends the reminders, reads the reply and moves the booking in your calendar, so the confirm-or-reschedule loop runs on its own.
